Growing divide between Trump and McConnell over impeachment trial — CNN
Procedural issues are never sexy, so this has been lost in the endless coverage of the articles of impeachment, which House Democrats revealed today. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, eager to get the impeachment trial over as quickly and painlessly as possible, is butting heads with President Trump, who wants a dramatic spectacle in which everyone from Hunter Biden to the whistleblower are forced to testify live. With McConnell planning the trial for sometime in January, it’ll be interesting to see the tug-of-war between the Senate and the White House play out over the festive season.

Yesterday I talked about plans to privatize Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, America’s government-backed mortgage companies.
