Reddit uncovers Russian interference campaign ahead of pivotal UK election — Gizmodo
It turns out those contentious US-UK trade documents were that made headlines last week were leaked by Russians to influence the upcoming British general election, proving that Russia is still up to the same tricks it played in 2016 — both in the Brexit referendum and the US presidential race. It is likely too late for any major anti-meddling initiative in the UK, but it is worth sounding the alarm ahead of next year’s US election. Also worth noting: Reddit has done a much better job than other social media platforms, especially Twitter and Facebook, of cracking down on misinformation and Russian bots spreading propaganda and lies.
